This was the day. The day we went to the Renaissaince faire. I got a $135 peasant shirt, and a piece of raw peacock ore for my rock collection. That’s it. No banners, sharp pointy objects, wenches, hot college girls… I think you get the idea.
Although we did go see a Scottish bagpipe and drum band called Albannach, and that was cool. And I was stuffed full of Turkey leg by the end of the day. But one of the huge points of going to the Renaissance faire every year is the wonderful shopping! We shopped, but apparently we’re actually trying to keep money in the bank this year (imagine that!), so I got a little more than squat. And food. But that’s normal (I hope…).
In other news, my Mother has a new obsession with J-pop and J-rock, and now she’s got me addicted. Gackt’s newest single, RETURNER, is awesome beyond all imagination. And L’arc~en~ciel has some pretty awesome songs on their previous albums, as well. My mother actually just found a new band to croon over: SID. My favorite song by them so far, Natsu Koi, is extremely cool.
